Save the Date: Horticulture Fest at our Sloat Blvd location this month!

Start the New Year off right at our weekend Horticulture Fest -- January 19, 20 & 21st in San Francisco at our Sloat Blvd location. We'll have seminars, kids projects, helpful tips and demonstrations.  Full schedule is below and clinic descriptions are at the bottom.

SATURDAY, January 19th
11am-Noon: Edibles in a drought tolerant garden
Drop in clinic: Repotting your houseplant
Noon-1pm: Mediterranean Climate Gardens

1pm-2pm: Cool Season vegetables & herbs
Drop in clinic: Home orchid care

Saturday KIDS Only classes (with 18yr+ guardian)

CLINICS:
Repotting your Houseplant.  Bring a houseplant and pot from home or purchase them at the store.  Our staff will mentor you through the repotting and care process.
Home Orchid care.  Bring your orchid from home or questions about orchids. We'll help with the basics of happy and healthy orchid care in your Bay Area home.
Dr. Winky is in.  Bring a fresh sample of a problem from your garden (leaf or soil) or a question you need help troubleshooting.
Create your own Bonsai.  Bring your own plant and pot from home or purchase them here.  Our staff will mentor you through the planting and care process.
Potting a winter color container.  Bring in your own pot or purchase one here.  Our staff will mentor you through the planting and care process.
City Habitats for beneficials.  Simple ways to create a welcome for garden beneficials like toads and ladybugs.

KIDS Clinics:
Bonsai for kids - $25 fee take home project.  Remarkably easy to do a simple bonsai.  We provide all of the materials.
Composting for kids.  Meet our squirmy worms and learn how to compost or start your own worm bin at home.

Seed starting for kidsBasics for kids on how to plant and care for seeds in a pot.

Plant a pot for kids. We provide the pot, the plant and information for how to plant and care for annuals.

Paint a pot take home project. We provide terra cotta pot and nontoxic paints, kids bring their creativity!
